PDF Guide

How to get your document print-ready:

We normally ask for files to be supplied to us in pdf format and to these basic specifications:

  • Single pages rather than spreads.
  • 3mm of bleed is required. (bleed describes image that runs off the page and will be cut to waste)
  • Include crop/trim marks.
  • Images will be of optimum quality at 350 dpi (we can print from images of a lower resolution but these may appear pixelated)
  • Ensure 'Press Quality' is selected when saving the PDF.
  • Note: Colour will be more consistent if images are saved as CMYK.

Sending Your Files

By Email

The maximum size-limit for email attachments is 10MB sent to studio@colourview.co.uk.

Free File Transfer

For larger files many of our customers have their own preferred file transfer accounts.

Otherwise, we recommend WeTransfer for one means of free file transfer (up to 2GB).
